Classic Chakana
Reimagined Chakana
The Chakana, an enigmatic symbol that has endured for millennia, is used by Indigenous cultures throughout South America and beyond. It represents the relationship between time and space, man and woman, and north and south. In experimenting with the structure of this symbol, I created several versions, maintaining the geometry of its original form and incorporating shapes and colors traditionally associated with Andean culture.
