2024 marks a year of commemoration for the Ramaytush Ohlone, the native people of the San Francisco Bay Area. The San Francisco Arts Commission selected four artists to create works that honor their legacy. As one of the chosen artists, my illustrations explore themes of connection with Mother Nature, the interdependence of fauna and flora, community, sovereignty, and the revitalization of Indigenous culture. In today's society, it is essential not only to recognize Indigenous groups but also to honor their rich culture and history.
